ATTLEBORO-Mark N. Shorrock, Jr., 83, passed away on September 15, 2025. He was the loving husband of Nancy A. (Pimental) Shorrock, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.
Mark was born in Fall River and was the son of the late Mark N. Shorrock, Sr and Hannah May (Wrigley) Shorrock.
Mark was a graduate of Case High School in Swansea and the former Durfee Bradford Technical Institute. He was employed at Fernandes Supermarkets for several years before beginning his long and rewarding career with Raytheon. Mark loved to go out to eat and socialize with his family and friends. He surrounded himself with family and always cherished the little moments that make life special. Whether it was hosting Christmas dinner or his famous Father's Day Clam Boil, you knew the event would be filled with family, good food and many wonderful memories. Mark will be remembered best for his wonderful smile, great sense of humor and for always going out of his way to make his family happy.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Wendy Farrell and her fiancée Mark Lapomardo of Marlborough; Jill Shorrock and partner, Alex Moretti of Cranston, RI and Peter Shorrock and his wife Marilyn of Wheelwright; sister, Eve Leach of Swansea; grandchildren, Samantha, Peter, Jr. and Rozann Fowler; great grandchildren, Callum and Austin and several nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his brother Gerald and his granddaughter Meghan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 11am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 1 St. John Pl., Attleboro. Please arrive at the church not later than 10:45am.
Inurnment will follow in the St. John Cemetery, West St., Attleboro.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Mark's memory to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Foley-Cook-New Day Funeral Home, Attleboro.
