NEW BEDFORD-Matthew Maldonado, 52, passed away on March 20, 2024. He was the husband of Heather L. Nunes.

Matthew was born in New Bedford and was the son of Mirita (Jorge) Maldonado and the late Jose Maldonado

Matthew attended New Bedford schools was employed in construction for several years. He enjoyed going out to play pool and was a die hard New England Patriots fan. Matthew cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his children and never let his illness define who he was. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him best.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are his children, Victoria, Nicole, Madisyn, Damien, Aaliyah and Emily; siblings, Roger, Jose, Melinda and Linda and grandchildren, Nora and Maverick.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 4-7pm in the Donaghy New-Day Funeral Home, 465 County St., New Bedford.

Cremation to follow.
