Melinda S. Keegan, 48, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 14, 2022 in St. Luke's Hospital.& She was the daughter of the late Edward Reed and the late Diane (Hadfield) Reed. She was the devotedwife to Mark Sadeck of New Bedford.

Melinda is survived by her children; Don Cosmo and his fiancée Ashlyn of New Bedford, her adoptive daughter Alexandra DeMello of New Bedford and Matthew Keegan Jr. of New Bedford. She was the sister of Tina Machado and her husband Scott of Freetown, Charlene Machado of New Bedford and Ryan Wunschel of New Hampshire.

Born in New Bedford, Melinda graduated from Marlborough High School. Melinda worked various jobs discovering her passions until becoming a stay at home mom. Melinda was then able to focus solely on raising her children. Melinda made it a point to be supportive of her children and proud of thepeople theyare. She always attended school concerts, plays and other events and made sure she was the loudest person in the room so that everyone knew Don, Alexandra and Matthew were her children. Melinda loved music of all kinds, rock and country were some of her favorite genres to listen to. She had a big heart and was a truefriend who would give the shirt off her back tothepeople who mattered most to her. She was a great mother, friend and wife, she will be forever missed by all who knew the real Mindy.
