NEW BEDFORD - Michael McNair, 66, passed away on December 4, 2024.

Michael was born in Albany, GA to the late John and Loretta (Szczepan) McNair. He was a graduate of Fairhaven High School. He worked as a master plumber at Araujo Brothers Plumbing and Heating in New Bedford, MA and at the UA Local 38 Plumbers and Pipefitters in Alameda, CA. Michael also worked on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco; how awesome is that?

He loved fishing and riding motorcycles. Michael had a larger than life personality. He was a gentle giant.

Michael is survived by his children Katie Thornley, Jennifer McNair, Megan McNair, John McNair, James McNair, and Stephen McNair; and his grandchildren Caden, Sienna, Kaya, Mia and Theodore. He was predeceased by his son Michael Haggerty. He is also survived by his siblings John McNair, Sheryl Suchomski, Cathy McNair, and Steven McNair and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
