Michael Tomascik, 64, of New Bedford passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.  He was the husband of Robin (Wilkinson) Tomascik.

Born and raised in New Bedford, son of Edith (Ryder) Tomascik of New Bedford and the late Leo Tomascik, he was a lifelong resident of the city.

Michael had worked as a welder at Schele prior to his illness. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed walking and shooting pool with his daughter.

Michael is survived by his wife, Robin;  mother, Edith Tomascik;  three children, Tabitha Simpkin and her husband Kevin, Katherine Tomascik and Michael Tomascik, Jr. All of New Bedford;  11 grandchildren, Lakesha, Anjelic, Manuel, Marquis, Angel and Olivia Mejia, Melvin Pimentel, Valerie Pratt and Jordan, Jaylynn and Taylor Tomascik;  eight great, grandchildren, Avian Mota, Amyis, Taliha and Josiah Martinez, Khi, Braydon, Briella and Liam Mejia;  five siblings, Edith Racine of New Bedford, Ernest Tomascik and his wife Deborah of Fairhaven, Joann Wilkenson, Jacqueline Dillon and Michelle Tomascik all of New Bedford;  and the late Stephen Tomascik.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9-11am Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in the Donaghy New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 465 County Street, New Bedford with a service at 11am in the funeral home followed by interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.
