Nancy D. (Lambert) Aguiar, 91 of New Bedford passed away Friday, March 24, 2023 at Nemasket Healthcare in Middleboro after a& period of declining health. She was the loving wife of the late John P. Aguiar, Jr.

Born in Staten Island, NY, daughter of the late Alexander and Frances (Wagner) Lambert, she lived most of her life in New Bedford. Nancy had worked from the time she was 15 years old, starting at St. Luke's Hospital and later as a seamstress, retiring in 1985 all while raising her family. She was the former President and a founding member of the New Bedford Alliance for the Mentally Ill. Nancy loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, David J. Aguiar and his wife Sheryl of Rochester, Linda Moniz and Karen M. Souza both of New Bedford and she was the mother of the late Joseph J. Aguiar; five grandchildren, Katherine Milette, Jonathan Moniz, Andrew Souza and his wife Tiffany, Christopher Souza and Jennifer Aguiar; three great grandchildren, Nathan, Nico and Alex; a brother, James Lambert and his wife Cathy of Rochester; a sister, Joan Medeiros and her husband Donald of New Bedford and a brother in law, Roy Enoksen of Mattapoisett an; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arline Enoksen.
