Obituary

FAIRHAVEN-Patricia F. (Nowakoski) Marujo, 88, of Fairhaven, Saturday, April 12, 2025 passed away unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.  She was the wife of the late Frank Marujo.

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Stella (Krol) Nowakoski.  She was the mother of Sandra LeBlanc and her husband Drew and Cynthia Stephens and her husband Frank.  She was the grandmother of precious, Nicholas and Stephanie LeBlanc, Morgan Victor, Hayli Victor and Kevin Cordero;  great grandmother of Jahvantii and Quess, Hayvin, Oona and Emrys.  She is also survived by her brother Paul Novak and niece, Susan Poyant and nephew, Michael Novak and several cousins.

She taught at Westport High School for 35 years. Her very favorite "job" however were the several years she spent volunteering at the Southcoast Oncology Centers.

To know Pat, one would have to realize that life for her was not complete without a cat beside her, always.

In accordance with her wishes a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 10AM in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Mt Pleasant St., New Bedford. Interment in Riverside Cemetery will be private.  Arrangements are by the Donaghy New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 465 County Street, New Bedford.  For memorial register please visit, newdayfunerals.com.
