Obituary

NORTH ATTLEBORO-Paul E. Derois, 88, passed away on April 16, 2025. He was the loving husband of Theresa (Riendeau) Derois.

Paul was born in Central Falls and was the son of the late Paul Derois and Annette (Robidoux) Derois.

Paul was a graduate of Tolman High School and served his country honorably in the US Army Reserves. He was enjoyed at LG Balfour and Electric Boat in North Kingstown for many years until his retirement. Paul led an active lifestyle and enjoyed playing golf and skiing well into his 70's. He was also an avid motorcycle rider in his early days. He was well known to take meticulous care of his property and was famous for his garden. A handsome, selfless and funny man, Paul was always looking out for others and cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Darlene Olbrys and her husband David of W. Greenwich, Kevin Derois and his wife Mary Sue of Eugene, OR and Paula Barbato and her husband Andrew of Harrisville, RI; grandchildren, Lydia, Bryce, Audra, Alison, Patricia, Derek, Jesse and Joey; great-grandchildren, Eve, Mason, Ethan, Owen and Logan and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Renald and Alan Derois.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 from 5-8pm in the Foley-Cook-New Day Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro.

Prayers will begin at 7:30pm in the funeral home.
