Paul G. Mello, 67, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on December 20, 2022. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Cook) Mello.

Paul was born in New Bedford and was the son of the late Arthur Mello and Rita (Lagasse) Mello.

Mr. Mello attended New Bedford schools and was employed for many years at F&B Rubberized in New Bedford. Paul was enjoyed spending time on the water and also worked as a commercial fisherman on Cape Cod for several years. Paul also enjoyed camping all over New England and riding his motorcycle. Paul was very involved and well known in the local MC community. He will be remembered as a man who always did it his way and had a great sense of humor.

Paul is survived by his longtime companion Debra Homen; children, Robert Reynolds and Roger, Paul, Joey Mello and Tabitha Rodrigues; siblings Arthur, David, Tracy, and Steven Mello and Donna Deree; sister in law Carol Cornell; many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Paul D. Mello and brother of the late Donald Mello.
