FALL RIVER- Paul A. Montigny, 88, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 at Kimwell Nursing Facility in Fall River after a period of declining health. He was the former husband of the late Carolyn (Chadburn) Frances.

Born in Fall River, son of the late Alfred and Beatrice (Lavoie) Montigny, he was a lifelong resident of the Greater New Bedford area. Paul had worked as a carpenter for Harvey Probber Industries for many years. He enjoyed painting and woodworking, boating and photography.

He is survived by his daughter, Lorrie Montigny of Tiverton, RI; two sons, Paul B. Montigny of Fall River and Peter A. Montigny of Chattanooga, TN; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine Rousseau of Dartmouth and Terry Stephens of Fairhaven and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Monday from 4-7pm in the Donaghy New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 465 County Street, New Bedford. His funeral service will be Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 10am in the funeral home followed by interment in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
