Obituary

Pauline Emilie (Langlois) Brunelle, 79, formerly of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2024, surrounded by her family.   She was the daughter of the late Leonard E. and Adrienne D. (Lariviere) Langlois, and loving wife of the late Normand G. Brunelle.

Pauline graduated from St. Anthony High School and St. Anne's School of Nursing. She later earned degrees from Salve Regina University, magna cum laude with a BS in Nursing and cum laude with a Masters Degree in Health Services Administration.

Pauline worked as a registered nurse for 28 years at St. Anne's Hospital. She had a tremendous love for the profession and her patients, as well as for teaching students and new grads. After retiring in 2003, Pauline volunteered for hospice and also at Our Lady's Haven in Fairhaven, where she was a lector and Eucharistic minister. She was also a Eucharistic minister and a choir member at St. Mary's Church in Fairhaven. Throughout her life, she enjoyed being creative and designing cards, writing poetry, thrifting and antiquing, fishing, and singing. She will be remembered as someone who loved to love, loved to live, and loved her profession.

Pauline was predeceased by her twin sister Paulette Langlois and sister Jacqueline (Langlois) Bowles. She is survived by her beloved children: Nicole (Brunelle) and her husband Christian Boussy of Pembroke, MA, and their children, Cole and Shane Radke and Sydney and Samuel Boussy; Robert Brunelle and his wife Kathleen of Fairhaven, MA, and their children, Baylen and Mariel; and Danielle (Brunelle) and her husband Edward Riggs of Rochester, MA, and their children, Zachary and Jonah. She also leaves her sister, Charlotte (Langlois) Grenn, of Las Vegas, NV.

There will be no calling hours and interment at Riverside Cemetery will be private. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Friday, January 26, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Church in New Bedford, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fidelis Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
