ROCHESTER, NY-Phyllis R. (Wall) Peckham, 95, formerly of New Bedford, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY.  She was the widow of the late Waldo Peckham, Marvin Lee Roberts and Howard S. Hinckley.

Born in Medford, MA, daughter of the late Charles R. Wall, Sr. and Helen F. (Saville) Wall, she settled in New Bedford in 1961.  She was a longtime active member of the People's Christian Church in New Bedford.  Phyllis was a home health aide at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford until her retirement in 1993.  She was a member of the Christian Women's Club and a hospice volunteer.

She was the mother of the late William Robert Hinckley. She is survived by the children of Marvin Lee Roberts: Lee Ann Forand, the late Louis Lynn Roberts,  Betty Jean Brosseau, James Roberts, Debra Johnson, and the children of Waldo Peckham: Robert Peckham, Jennifer Kursten, Mary Childs, James Peckham, and Jeffrey Peckham. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Phyllis was predeceased by her siblings Charles R. Wall Jr, Helen "Pat" Wall, and Frank Wall.

Calling hours are Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 6-9PM in the Donaghy New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 465 County Street, New Bedford.  Interment will be private.  A Celebration of Phyllis' Life will be held at 11AM Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Century House in Acushnet; relatives and friends are invited to attend.  For facility directions or memorial register, please visit, www.newdayfunerals.com.
