NEW BEDFOR-Rebecca LaCroix, 39, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on July 2, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital.

She was born in New Bedford to Teresa Dineen and the late Glenn Crowley, both of New Bedford.  She was adopted when she was 6 years old by Laurel (LaCroix) Brunelle of Dahlonega, Georgia and the late William LaCroix of New Bedford.  Rebecca grew up in Dartmouth, MA and attended Greater New Bedford Vocational Technical High School.

Rebecca loved to spend time with family and friends, especially her children.  It brought her much joy being an Auntie.  She loved listening to music, the summer sun and cooking for others.

She is survived by her children, Zachary LaCroix, Darryl Hill Jr. and Demetrius LaCroix, all of New Bedford, MA.  Her mother Laurel (LaCroix) Brunelle and her husband Gary Brunelle of Dahlonega, GA., Theresa Dineen of New Bedford, MA.  Her siblings Sarah Benoit and Melissa Crowley, both of New Bedford, MA and Glenn Rostocki, both of Chicopee, MA .  Her nephews, Khai Marrero and Markeean Hunt, both of New Bedford, MA.

In accordance with Rebecca's wishes, she was cremated.  There will be no services held, however, a Celebration of Life held on August 4th, 2024.  Details will follow.
