NEW BEDFORD-Robert Henry Barboza, 70, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 16, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Henry Barboza and Ruth H. Counsell. Robert was a self employed carpenter.

He is survived by his children, Robert H. Quinones and his wife Sherrie of MD, Stephanie Barboza of Taunton and Nicole Telfair and her husband Tyron of New Bedford;  six grandchildren, Domanic, Ava, Amya and Chezaray Quinones, and Jason and Jazmyn Lefevre;  and two great grandchildren.
