Obituary

ATTLEBORO-Robert E. Crook, 90, of Attleboro passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Garden Place HealthCare in Attleboro after a long illness.  He was the husband of Rose A. (Rickles) Crook.  The couple had been together for 69 years.

Born and raised in Attleboro, son of the late Everett and Lillian (McMath) Crook, he was a graduate of Attleboro High School and worked in shipping and receiving for Foxboro Manufacturing.  Mr. Crook served in the US Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal during the Korean War.

He loved to play cards and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Patriots, Celtics and college football and basketball.

He is survived by his wife Rose; his children, Darren R. Crook of Attleboro, Dalton A. Crook of Woonsocket, RI, Derek C. Crook of Attleboro and Michelle A. Crook and her companion James Harris of Attleboro;  six grandchildren, Connor Crook, Leslie Gervais, Alanna Crook, Jessica Welch, Amanda Aguilar and Jamison Harris;  five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Mr. Crook was the father of the late Robert D. Crook and Dwayne L. Crook and brother of the late Dorothy Chaisson and Everett Crook.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 12:45 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.  Arrangements are by the Foley Cook New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 126 South Main Street, Attleboro. For memorial register please visit, www.newdayfunerals.com.
