NEW BEDFORD - Robert E. Jochim, 93, of New Bedford passed away Monday, November 10, 2025, at Sacred Heart Home in New Bedford.  He was the husband of Susan M. (Halpin) Jochim.

Born in Evansville, Indiana, son of the late Albert and Ada (Holzwarth) Jochim, he was the last of 9 children and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and later worked as a lineman/installer for Verizon until his retirement.  He enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the Pine Hill Acres Friday Night Card Club. He loved to garden and took pride in coaching his three sons in the Whaling City Little League for over 13 years.

He is survived by his wife Susan; his children, Steven Jochim, Deborah De Bortoli, Michael Jochim, Patrick Jochim and a dedicated and loving stepson, Daniel Milovich and the late, Thomas Milovich; also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
