NEW BEDFORD-Robert Keith McPherson, 65 of New Bedford passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.& He was the loving husband of Dellcine M. (Wilson) McPherson.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Marion and Beverly (Burgo) McPherson, he settled in New Bedford in the early 1970's. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1977-2001 as a Dental Technician and later was employed by the City of New Bedford Police Department as a Gang Specialist. Robert was Past Exalted Ruler of the Wm H. Carney Elks Lodge #200 and was an avid New York sports fan, Yankees, Knicks and Giants.

He is survived by his loving wife Dellcine; children, Brittney and Ari McPherson both of New Bedford; his mother in law, Sharon Wilson of Philadelphia, PA; his siblings, Darren McPherson and Shaunell McPherson both of New Bedford and Sheemeka Inabett of FL; a sister in law, Kelli Wilson and brother in law, Randall Wilson both of Philadelphia, PA; nieces and nephew, Sakim Soto of NC and Sakira and Kyle McPherson both of New Bedford and several great nieces and nephews. Robert was the brother of the late Yvonne Sheriff.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 4-6pm with a service at 6pm in the Donaghy New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 465 County St., New Bedford. Relatives and friends at invited to attend the repass immediately following the service at the Community Room of the Regency Towers, 800 Pleasant St., New Bedford.
