Robert Peter Ouellett, 89, of Halifax passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, in Boston Medical Center - South, Brockton. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeannine (Debuc) Ouellett with whom he shared many wonderful years of marriage.
He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, son of the late Luis and Rita (Gelinas) Ouellett. Robert lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his country, and his passion for education.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Robert served honorably during the Korean War. His time in the military instilled in him a sense of discipline and commitment that he carried throughout his life.
Robert pursued higher education with vigor, earning a master’s degree in microbiology. His academic achievements led to a distinguished career as an educator. He began as a college professor at Stonehill College before joining Massasoit College, where he eventually became the head of the science department. Robert’s contributions to academia and his students left an enduring legacy of knowledge and inspiration. Outside of his professional life, Robert was an avid Red Sox fan.
Robert is survived by his son, Mark Ouellett.
Calling hours will be held on June 4, 2026, 4-7pm, with 6:30pm Prayer Service at Foley-Cook New Day Funeral Home, 126 South Main Street, Attleboro.
