Ronald Lyons 62 of Newport R.I. Passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025 at Rhode Island hospital surrounded by his family.

Born in Worcester Mass. On June 19, 1963. He had many passions in life which included his love of the ocean and many more outdoor activities. His greatest passion in life was his love of C.B. Radios and talking to other countries on them. He owned and operated his own C.B business for many years.

Ron was a self-taught electronic "WIZ"  he could fix anything.  In 2012, Ron moved to Newport R.I. to enjoy the other loves in his life, such as walking the beach, metal detecting and just exploring the Island he loved so much.

He was a member of the Newport Community Church and helped out at the Martin Luther King Center. He had a kind heart and would help in any way he could for others. He was also known as the great debater and for his sharp-witted sense of humor.

His mother Ruth predeceased him in 2022.

He leaves behind his brother Phillips Wood, his sister Patricia Petit and her husband Rob and his nephew Kyle. He also leaves behind his fiancee Ann Diamantis.
