Ronald G. Reeves, 86, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan M. (Gagnon) Reeves with whom he shared many wonderful years together before her passing in 2016.

He was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island; son of the late Gilbert and Irene (Levandoski) Reeves. Ronald had a keen intellect and a passion for learning; he pursued an impressive academic journey. After graduating from William E. Tolman High School in Pawtucket, he continued his education at Bristol Community College and UMass Dartmouth before earning his Master's degree from Simmons University.

In 1961, Ronald proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served his country honorably for four years. His time in the military reflected his commitment to service and discipline.

Professionally, Ronald found fulfillment in his role at the Barrington Public Library, where he served as Head of the Research Department until his retirement. Outside of his professional life, Ronald enjoyed fishing and sports. Baseball held a special place in his heart; he loved both playing the game in his youth and watching it throughout his life. He was also an avid fan of college basketball, following the sport with enthusiasm and dedication.

Ronald is survived by his brothers Russell Reeves and Roger Reeves, along with Roger's wife Pamela.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Joan; his brother Robert Reeves; his sister Diane Kelly; and his sister-in-law Jacqueline Reeves.

Ronald will be laid to rest privately in Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence, RI 02906
