NEW BEDFORD-Rosa Lydia Diaz, 71, of New Bedford passed away Friday, October 30, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Pedro Adorno.

Born in Manati, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of the late Juan and Ana (Adorno) Diaz. Rosa loved spending time with her family and her dog Sandy, going out to eat, old movies and scratch tickets.

She is survived by her children, Miriam Diaz and her husband Silas Correia, Santo Diaz, Francisco Maldonado and his companion Nicole Alves and Norma Maldonado; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Martina Diaz and several nieces and nephews. Rosa was the sister of the late Carmen Vega and Roberto Diaz.

Calling hours are Thursday, November 5, 2026 from 9-11am in the Donaghy New Day Cremation and Funeral Care, 465 County Street, New Bedford.
