Rosemarie (Teixeira) August, 72, of New Bedford passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Hathaway Manor in New Bedford after a long illness. She was the wife of the late John August.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Joseph Teixeira and Deolinda (Medeiros) Rezendes, she lived most of her life in the city and was a graduate of New Bedford High School.& Rosemarie was a member of the Full Gospel Christian Fellowship in New Bedford and enjoyed reading her Bible, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Ralph Gilmour, Jr. And his life partner, Filomena Farias of Acushnet, Candi Durant and her husband Gary, Sarah August, Maxwell August and Olivia August all of New Bedford; a brother John Rezendes; sisters, Judith Holtzman and her husband Terry and Adeline Clark and her husband Dennis all of New Bedford; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
