Shelley Ann Sylvia, 45, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly at home Friday, September 1, 2023. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Shirley A. (Tavares) Sylvia and the late Russell Sylvia.

Shelley was a lifelong resident of New Bedford and graduate of New Bedford High School. She went on to earn her Masters Degree from Springfield College and worked a Social Worker for various area Social Agencies. She enjoyed fishing, camping, running, exercising and Country Music. She loved her children and she is survived by Zavier and Kendal Andrews both of Dartmouth and their father Peter Andrews;  her brother Robert J. Sylvia and his wife Nicole of Middleboro and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
