Stephen C. Villa, 64, of Fairhaven passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. Born in New Bedford, son of the late Charles R. And Patricia G. (Seguin) Villa, he was a lifelong resident of Fairhaven and graduate of Fairhaven High School class of 1977.

Stephen spent many years as a commercial fisherman and made many friendships from his time spent scalloping. It truly defined who he was and how he lived. He also worked alongside his father as a painter for many years, including projects as monumental as the Braga Bridge. Later in life he would come to own his own painting and power washing business. it was rare to come across him without a smile, a full heart and a joke to crack. He was and avid collector of sports memorabilia and had and amazing eye for antiques. He loved freshwater fishing especially on cape cod and his son accompanied him in all of his ventures. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.&

Survivors include his son, Stephen C. Villa, Jr. and his companion Jade Melendez of New Bedford; siblings, Debra Charpentier and her husband Ted of Fairhaven, Kevin J. Villa of Fairhaven and Charles W. Villa and his wife Jennifer of California; also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
