Obituary

ATTLEBORO-Terence "Terry" P. Upham, 65, of Attleboro, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved companion of Patty Hanlin, with whom he shared 26 wonderful years together.

Terence was born in Norwood; son of the late Edgar and Ruth (Ewald) Upham. Terry lived a life marked by dedication to his craft, his love for the outdoors, and deep devotion to his family. He was a talented and hardworking carpenter, who for his life contributed immensely to Local 33 Boston Carpenters Union. His skill with woodworking was not only a profession but also a passion. Terry had a deep appreciation for nature. A true wildlife enthusiast and avid birdwatcher, he found peace in the outdoors, He enjoyed riding ATVs, spending time at the beach or simply enjoying the natural world around him. His love for animals was especially evident in his affection for dogs.

Known among friends and family as an elite pool player and the undisputed king of one-line dad jokes, Terry brought laughter wherever he went. His quick wit and easygoing spirit made him joy to be around.

In addition to the love of his life Patty, Terry is survived by his children Erin Upham, Allycia Gentile and her husband Charles "Chuck", Shawn Upham and their mother Janis O'Neil; his stepchildren Douglas Hanlin; his cherished granddaughter Larayah; his siblings Marie Iozzo and her husband John, and Wayne Upham and his wife Beth; his niece Ashley and his nephews Brian and Joseph.

Calling hours for Terry will take place on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 4-7PM in the Foley Cook New-Day Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

A prayer service will conclude the evening at 7pm.
