Thomas Cardoza, Sr.& 65, of New Bedford Ma, passed away on September 21 2022.
He was the son of the late Raymond and Alfrieda (Balla) Cardoza, Sr. Thomas was originally from Wareham MA where he was a competitive athlete in and out of school. He went into the Army shortly after having graduated from Wareham High School, and when he was honorably discharged, Thomas then went on to work in construction while still pursuing his natural talents in both music and art. Thomas loved music and could pick up any instrument and almost instantly be able to play it. He was also a wonderful painter. Thomas gained love by many through his artistic gifts.
Every career that Thomas had, he secured the admiration and respect of his fellow coworkers. Thomas was loved by all his friends and family alike.
He is survived by his three siblings, Linda Dooley of Plymouth, MA, Raymond David Cardoza, Jr. of Vero Beach, Florida, and Timothy Cardoza of Wareham, MA; Thomas is also survived by his three children, Elsie LuAnne Cardoza-Laguerre of Quincy, MA, Thomas Cardoza, Jr. of New Bedford, MA, and Rebecca Cardoza of New Bedford, MA; He leaves behind a legacy in his six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Empress, Exavior, Geralin, Evangeline, and Hayden.
Thomas will be missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery (Otis) in Bourne at 2:30pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 followed by a Repass/Memorial at Gallery X in New Bedford from 4pm-8pm on October 12, 2022.
