NEW BEDFORD-Tiffanie DePina was the beloved daughter of the late Maria DePina and the late Stephen R. Gomes.

Tiffanie had a special gift for seeing and bringing out the beauty in every individual she met. She graduated from Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School and later attended Labarons Hair Academy, where she continued to develop her passion and talent for cosmetology. Her love for the beauty industry eventually grew into a passion for teaching, and she had the opportunity to share her knowledge, creativity, and talents with students at both Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School and Labarons Hair Academy. Through teaching, she inspired others to discover their own talents and to see the beauty and confidence that could be created through their work.

For decades, she was one of the city’s most talented and beloved hairstylists, creating her own signature “Tiff’s Touch” and leaving a lasting impression on everyone who sat in her chair. Her creativity, talent, and ability to make others feel beautiful were truly one of a kind.

Beyond her talent, Tiffanie treasured the people in her life. She found deep love and joy in her friendships and held those relationships close to her heart. She embraced life whenever she could—singing, smiling, laughing, and dancing her way through the moments that mattered most. Her warmth, spirit, and beautiful personality touched the lives of so many.

Tiffanie is survived by her sisters, Lisa DePina, Jaslyn DePina, Anna DePina, and Yvonne DePina; her brother, Stephen Gomes his wife Nichole; her niece, Sariah DaSilva; and her nephews, Marco DaSilva of New Bedford, and Ezekiel and Xavier of Blythewood, South Carolina.

She is also survived by her uncles, the Reverend Martin Gomes, SS.CC., of Fairhaven, Thomas E. Gomes of Wareham, and Manuel Ramos; and Dr. Edmund & Ruth (Chavier) Gomes from Lynchburg, VA; aunts, Ana Lague, Mary Louise Rodrigues, Linda Gomes, Helen Gomes Ackah, Regina Lopes, Debbie Cruz, Kim Cruz.

Tiffanie is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eugenia DePina Soares Antonio and Lydia Gomes, Mr & Mrs Antonio “Geech” and Lydia (Freitas) Gomes; her aunts, Yvonne “Lana” DePina and Wendy Fumo, her uncle, Joe “Pepe” DePina; her aunt Ann Gomes Oliveira; her uncles George L. “Jake” Gomes and Paul Gomes; and her cousin Paula Gomes.

Tiffanie leaves behind a legacy of beauty, creativity, love, laughter, and friendship. The love she gave, the beauty she created, and the joy she shared will live on in everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Her memories will never be forgotten, and her “Tiff’s Touch” will remain in the hearts of all who loved her.
