August 31, 2025
NEW BEDFORD-Todd Matthew Arruda, November 23, 1968 – August 31, 2025.
It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Todd Matthew Arruda, who left this world on August 31, 2025, at the age of 56.
Todd was born on November 23, 1968, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. A 1986 graduate of Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, where he studied auto body collision repair. Todd went on to dedicate more than 25 years of his life as a Loader Operator at Insurance Auto Auctions in East Taunton, MA. Known as one of the very best in the industry, Todd took great pride in his work.
Todd also had an extraordinary love for football and could share facts about any player and/or team easily. He was a huge fan of Tom Brady and a staunch supporter of the Patriots. He loved music, especially heavy metal and rock, which became the soundtrack playing in the background of his life. Korn one of his favorite bands, one he proudly shared with his daughter, and together they cherished the memory of seeing them live in concert.
Above all, Todd's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was his daughter, Hailey. A devoted "girl dad," Todd built his life around her happiness. From dinner dates and school shopping trips to helping her pick out outfits, Todd poured his heart into fatherhood. His love for Hailey was visible to anyone who knew him.
Todd is survived by his beloved daughter, Hailey Arruda; his brother, Scott Arruda, and his wife Veronica; and his nieces, Samantha and Amanda Arruda. He was predeceased by his longtime partner and Hailey's mother, Hope Demoranville; his father, Gerald Arruda; and his uncle, Paul Brunelle.
Todd will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to family, his encyclopedic knowledge of the sport he loved, his passion for music, and his quiet but steady presence. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
