Cynthia A. Valerio Mandeville

Cynthia A. Valerio Mandeville , 72, of New Bedford passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, January 1, 2023 in St. Luke’s Hospital.  She was the devoted wife to the late August Mandeville.

Born and raised in New Bedford, she was the daughter to the late John Valerio Jr and the late Eileen (Law) Valerio.  Cynthia attended and graduated from New Bedford Schools. She worked at pace fuel assistance for many years and was a well known tarot card reader . She worked for many years building unbreakable friendships with people.  Cynthia continued to read cards until her health issues prevented her.  She always had a way to either make you laugh with a witty joke or touch your heart with her words of comfort.  Cynthia was outspoken and would always tell someone what they needed to hear to help ease any situation. Cynthia adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was always there with her camera and took as many pictures as possible.  She loved to share her pictures with her family and friends.  She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Cynthia leaves behind her children; Bethany Day of New Bedford, Kobi-Lynne Day of New Bedford and Shawn Day and his wife Sandra Day of New Bedford.  She is the proud grandmother to ; Alyssa ,Devon ,Laryssa ,Adam ,Joah ,Darrion and Elysse and she was a great grandmother to Avaleigh, Azariah, Alayah, Mya and Julian. She is the sister to the late Linda Rymut.
