Obituary

Kenneth Wayne Margeson, 71, of Dartmouth, Massachusetts passed away on December 7, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.

Kenneth was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the son of the late Kenneth H. Margeson and Hilda Morris Margeson. He resided in Ocean City, Md., New Bedford, MA, and Dartmouth MA. He attended Southeastern Massachusetts University where he majored in Psychology and Photography. He had a darkroom and enjoyed developing all his own photographs. 

He was a jack of all trades and a master of several, including plumbing, electrical and mechanical work. He was a maintenance specialist at the KOA campground in Middleboro, MA. 

He was a gifted musician and played the guitar and harmonica very well. He learned to play the guitar at a young age from his cousin George, whom he greatly admired. He loved all music and was a talented impersonator who could imitate Elvis and the Beatles. He loved Star Trek and keeping himself informed on current events. He was a very intelligent person who often shared his wisdom and insight with those around him. 

He was the Soulmate of the late Linette Marguerite Monty. He is survived by one son, Joel Monty, and his companion Savannah Rodrigues, as well as by his two daughters Tara Carvalho and Jessica Gomes, and her companion George Mead. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Haylie, Hannah, Mia and Lilah, and by his brother Steven Margeson and his wife Michelle Margeson, his brother Barry Margeson, his three nieces Angela Briggs, Steven Briggs, Roxanne Pepe, John Pepe, Heather Ross, Tim Ross  and by the many other extended family members who loved him. 

Kenneth is remembered for his intelligence, his strong and independent spirit, his music and his great love and affection for his family. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 4-7pm in the Donaghy- New Day Funeral Home, 465 County St., New Bedford.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 10am in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 169 Belleville Rd., New Bedford. Relatives please proceed DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.

Cremation to follow.
